The receptionist staff can often help you with non-medical aspects of your treatment. Please ask if you want to talk confidentially away from the reception desk. They can also advise you when your next health check, vaccination, prescription review or cervical smear is due. We understand that it is sometimes embarrassing asking for an appointment when other people are present in the waiting room or reception area. You may ask to speak to a receptionist privately in the interview room. In order to get you the most appropriate appointment the receptionist may ask you a brief description of your problem, this is at the request of the GPs and not the receptionist being nosey.
